If things are really bad right now

de-press.co is a quiet harbour, but it is not emergency help. If you are in danger or having thoughts of harming yourself — seek help right now. You don't have to cope alone.

Call — it's free

112 is the universal emergency number, 103 is an ambulance (in some countries). Both work from any phone, including one with no credit.

What you can do right now

  1. Tell a live person nearby — even just “I feel awful”. You don't have to explain everything: one sentence is enough to not be left alone.
  2. Call 112 or 103 and say that you need help.
  3. Don't stay alone: ask someone to stay with you until help arrives.
  4. If you can — move away from anything you could hurt yourself with, and stay away from dangerous places.
  5. Breathe slowly: in for four counts, out for six. It doesn't solve everything, but it helps you survive the acute wave.

What you won't find here

de-press.co has no likes, ratings or public comments. Your story will be heard, not judged. Only you can start a chat. The AI assistant is always labelled, makes no diagnoses and never replaces people.

If it has been hard for a long time

de-press.co is not medicine and not a replacement for therapy. If the state lasts for weeks or interferes with living — see a doctor or a psychotherapist. Asking for help is normal.
